M asks: I get a lot of emails from writers asking me to introduce them to my agent or editor. I don't really want to do this for people I barely know, so I generally tell them, as nicely as I can, to follow the posted query guidelines (and subscribe to your newsletter - thank you!) But it makes me wonder: Do agents/editors really want email introductions from their current clients? Is this the magic shortcut that everybody seems to think it is?
