Hi friends,
Question day hurray! It’s occurred to me recently that the vast majority of you have not been here from the beginning (which is fine obvs) and maybe I need to do more preamble and scene setting and occasional introducing around here. Like someone emailed me once here (one person just once) and they were like omg I didn’t know you were an agent???? Anyway, lmk if you feel like you don’t know what’s going on here, and/or want me to bring up old posts to point things out that you might have missed.
A asks: I am finally out on submission (yay!). So I have to get through waiting.... but about a year ago, I had attended a virtual pitch session and an editor had invited me to submit to her. Right after that I got my agent, whose helped me revise since then. The editor is on the list of editors for submission, (and she gave me her email to followup) but should I follow back up with her directly to let her know that my agent submitted and to look out for it since she was the first editor to express interest?
Wait! Stop! No! Do not email that editor!!
