K asks: since agents are supposed to be partners with authors in the editorial process (so I'm told) is it a help or a hindrance to have done paid editorial on the manuscript before querying? (Basically I'm wanting a sanity check from an agent who does paid editorial services that my manuscript is query ready to other agents.)
