M asks: I queried agents with my novel before it was ready. Although I had some positive responses, I had no takers. That was five years ago. Now with a major rewrite, a professional edit, and a new title, should I resubmit?
Five years is a long time in publishing circles. From a practical standpoint, it’s very possible that some of the agents on your original list are no longer in the biz and others have either added or dropped your genre from their wishlists.
