That I Should Be Taking Myself
I am on the cusp of a new writing project and all I really need is A: the time to sit down and do it and B: the stomach to start writing through all the ughhhhhh whyyyyyyy feelings that accompany a new project. I went through some past posts here to see what I’d written before and guess what? I’ve written a bunch about writing. Compiled here for the first time are my top ten posts about writing, which you are free to use as procrastination from doing your own writing, just like I am, here and now.
I promise you can learn to like what you write, or even just tolerate it. And doing so makes writing less painful.
Whether you outline or not, it does help to figure out what happens in your book. Here’s one way to do that.
You wrote a bunch of words! Now you have to edit them. Here’s how you can do that without being paralyzed with fear.
Not how long it takes to hear back from agents but how long will it take you to write (or edit) your work.

#5: And Nothing Hurt
If you stop worry about how much writing sucks, you might find out it only sucks about 20% as much as you thought. Really.
Stopping and starting, walking and running, still gets you were you want to go.
Maybe you can write 500 words every single day. Maybe you can’t. Or you can focus on one of these three things at a time and hit your goals.
