The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hi Friends,

It’s charts time!!!!! For those new on the scene, I love charts and every year, I make new ones based on what I sold and what I earned. It means I get an afternoon to be elbow deep in spreadsheets and you get a little window into my agenting world. You can look back at 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, too.

But here is 2023 so LFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First up is a look at my total sales (all formats, all territories), year over year since 2018. And. Well. This is what it looks like. Total sales were down this year! 2021 was a wacko year, tbh, and I actually don’t expect to do that volume again anytime soon. (It was a lot!) And I’m not surprised this year is down from 2022. I have a lot of clients on two book deals. Some things sold and some things didn’t. I didn’t have as many IP projects as I usually do. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So it goes. I’m not fussed about it.
