I'd be delighted if you could answer an agent question for me. If pitching a screenplay for an indie-published novel, who / what kind of agent should I query sub rights to?

Not all literary agents rep screenplays. You need a film agent. It’s a whole different world than book/literary agents. Good luck!

I've always used to do lists...for 45+ years now. And looking back to ones I've saved I'm always surprised how many things took a long time but happened (big things that seemed impossible dreams at the time)! and some that didn't happen I realize were shoulds, not wants, other peoples expectations for me. Many years ago, being a bit too work focused, I did create my own weekly plan and daily plan, pages I still use today. I put a few new categories, at the top, My husband, Family/Friends/Community, Soul Food Goals (me goals), and Creativity/Play. I know, ridiculous to have to be reminded daily of the importance of all those, to have to PLAN for them, but there you have it. Really helped to balance out my life, and keep me on track for what I want to accomplish and how I want to live my life. Time flies, truly. (and that novel that has been on my list forever, after numerous nonfiction books...manuscript has been completed and edited and developmental edited! Only took 25 plus years:) now my lists include plans for the next steps. there is a commitment in writing things down.l

Thankful for your meandering letter today. We also got hit with bug after bug (covid, then exasperated asthma, then bronchitis) and it threw productivity out the window. This is a good reminder that the girl boss crush it productivity mindset isn't for everyone and doesn't need to be--we can each get there in our own way.

Thx Kate! Sry about the bug! Stay away from me! I too am a list maker. One good category I’ve added recently is one with my initials at the top of it. What am I doing today for me? As opposed to all of the others tapping their toes waiting in line for my manuscript/edit/idea/revise/drawing. The Me List includes yoga, bike rides, vacation reservations, and what delicious thing to cook for dinner. I don’t always check all the Me boxes, either, but it feels important to voice my own priorities along with the others.
