I’m in reading (and writing) mode right now, so I’ve also been in writing tip/editorial letter mode. It’s easy to see themes emerge in whatever I’m reading for work, or pleasure, and what I’m writing, and the books and projects I talk about with friends and colleagues. One piece of editorial advice I’ve seen come up a lot lately, for myself included, is this:
