Kate, this is so timely: I just wrote to my editor to say that I won't be able to submit my m/s by the end of this year—already pushed out from Dec 2020, because, um, pandemic. (Has anyone with school-aged kids managed to write a book in the past 18 months?!) I haven't heard back yet... but what are they going to do, ask for the zero advance back?! I guess they can just decline to publish. Fingers crossed. In any case, thank you for your always timely and useful and comforting posts!
