How are you? I’m INCENSED it’s August, but I’m one of those weird people who likes summer. To quell my fury over the passage of time, I dove back into the Fifty Queries Club1 files to find inspiring examples of writerly endurance.

Anyway, let’s talk about J’s work today. It’s a work of magical realism for adults clocking in at 86k words. All good there. J’s query is clean and clear and to the point. No faults there, either. The story is one of coyote-like beasts, strange winds, and running off to the islands of Maine to escape the inevitableness of the future. (But not like this lady.) I think J’s query is spot on so let’s look closer at the sample pages.
